What we collect
- Identity and contact details: name, address, email address, phone number and date of birth.
- Financial details needed for a transaction or tenancy, such as bank details, mortgage details and credit history.
- Property details: the address, type, value and other details of a property you want to sell, let or buy.
- Transaction records: the sales and tenancies you are involved in with us.
- Identity documents we must check under the Money Laundering Regulations 2017. See our anti-money laundering policy.
- Website enquiries: what you type into our forms, the page you sent it from and when.
How we use it, and why
- To provide our sales, lettings and management services, because we have a contract with you or you have asked us to take steps before one.
- To reply to an enquiry or book a valuation you have asked for, because you have asked us to.
- To meet legal duties, including anti-money laundering checks, tenancy deposit rules and record keeping.
- To run and improve our business, where our legitimate interests are not outweighed by your rights.
- To send you marketing, only where you have agreed. You can stop it at any time.
Option Finance, our sister company
Option Finance Ltd is a mortgage broker owned by the same person as Option Estates. We only pass your details to Option Finance if you tick the box on our form asking for a mortgage check or a buy to let review, or you ask us to in another way. Option Finance then becomes responsible for that data and will give you its own privacy notice.
Option Estates and Option Finance are owned by the same person. If you choose to use Option Finance, we will tell you in writing about any fee or benefit either company receives before you go ahead.
