Living in Nottingham

Nottingham had 323,632 people at the 2021 census, and the wider built up area more than 768,000. It is home to the University of Nottingham, Nottingham Trent University and a University of Law campus, with nearly 62,000 students between them, and it became a UNESCO City of Literature in 2015.

In the city centre, the Lace Market's red brick lace warehouses now hold apartments, bars and restaurants, along with Nottingham Contemporary and the National Justice Museum.

Further out, Clifton sits on the A453 to the south, Wilford is an old village on a bend of the Trent that joined the city in 1952, and Bulwell to the north west is a market town in its own right, with a market that still trades three days a week.

Homes in Nottingham

Homes range from apartments in converted Lace Market warehouses to the Clifton Estate, once said to be the largest council estate in Europe, where most homes have passed into private ownership since the 1980s.

The sold prices further down this page show what has changed hands here over the last year. If you are thinking of selling, we can talk you through which streets sell fastest.
